Michelle Ransom-Hughes (she/ her)
I live and work on the unceded land of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people in Naarm (Melbourne).
Alongside Radio is my independent production company for creative work of all kinds.
You can read my professional bio here but in short I liberated myself from the ABC after many years of making highly successful shows for them in Brisbane.
I’m proud of the work I’ve done since, including winning Best Documentary at the Australian Podcast Awards, teaching podcasting, and working in television.
I aim to work with and for people who make the world more equitable, inclusive and joyful.
Current projects include a screenplay, no-context slide nights, and a work for theatre. I’m helping document people’s life stories via my Brunswick Story Service. I also have a couple of incredible non-fiction series for audio and TV looking for funding.
If you’re interested in collaborating, I’d love to hear from you.
